including the ball base. It's made of hard plastic and the iPhone can
be mounted either forward or back facing. I picked it for the open
area on the back that allows you to take photos or video while
mounted. The iPhone snaps in securely, and there seems to be little
danger that the iPhone would fall out.
While okay at slow speeds, it is almost impractical for use at high
speeds because of motorcycle vibration. I attempted a time lapse video
but the vibrations made the video very blurry.
For uses such as your GPS or other navigation tools it works just fine.
The main downside of this open case, however, is that your iPhone is
exposed to dirt, wind and heat.
