3 Night trip from Chiang Mai to Bangkok

This was my trip from Chiang Mai to Bangkok, where I overnighted in Pai, Mae Sariang and Mae Ramat. Was on my ER6-N bike which did the job pretty well.

Roads taken in order were the 107, to 1095, to 108 to 105 to the 1 and 32 to Bangkok.

Most roads were good, with some amazing stretches, some rough bits.  The northern stretch of the 105 is being improved by 2 paving teams so in a year or so, should be a great ride.

Most tourists do the loop 1095, 107 and 108 loop so plenty of guesthouses, coffee shops and tourist attractions on those roads.  The 105, however is a bit more lonely.  Maybe one of the longest stretches of road in Thailand without services.  You definitely want a full tank of gas before attempting the windy 150km hwy 105 from Mae Saring to Mae Ramat.  There is gas at Tha Song Yang.  One of the cool things on the 105 is the Mae La Refugee Camp.  Thousands of huts line the road backed up against limestone cliffs.  Police have two road checkpoints so no Karen people get in or out.
